Milosh & Chequerboard tour Ireland

We are delighted to see that Canadian Mike Milosh returns to Ireland soon to play a series of gigs around the country. It is great to see that Milosh, who played a 50-person gig in Sligo and a gig in Clonakilty on a previous tour, is staying loyal to the smaller venues around the country, in marked contrast to the vast majority of foreign acts who come to Ireland, rarely leaving the capital, and if so usually for Cork or Galway. Milosh released his third album, III, this year, so we can expect to hear plenty of that new release along with a spattering of gems from his previous on-the-way-to-being-classics Meme and You Make Me Feel. We make one track of III, Awful Game, available to download below. What makes this tour even more special is that Milosh will be supported throughout by John Lambert, aka Chequerboard, an Irish electronica-instrumental artist whose album Penny Black, released this year, is, to quote the Irish Times, "as delicate, detailed and purposeful as a Japanese garden". I can not think of a more perfect Irish artist to support Milosh, and am looking forward to attending at least one of these gigs immensely.

Here is the list of dates and venues for the tour

Oct 21 De Burgo's, Galway
Oct 22 Whelan's Upstairs
Oct 23 Spirit Store, Dundalk
Oct 24 Triskel Arts Centre, Cork
Oct 25 The Brogue Inn, Tralee
Oct 27 Belltable, Limerick

  2. Gutted. Would love to hear him play. Both of them actually. All I really remember from EP was Mikes "acoustic"* version of 'Its Over'. Had tears in my eyes sitting down in my second favourite place in the world. (Dessau can never have its crown taken)

*I know it wasn't actually acoustic, but it was really stripped down to a point where you could almost say it was. AmIrightamIright?

** I had a spelling mistake in the previous version of this comment and it wouldn't let me edit it so I had to delete the whole fecking thing. Pile of Shite!
