Electric City is leaving us!! Tomorrow!!!

It is with deep regret BTBW is alerting you to tomorrow (Thurs) night's Electric City gig in Wax.
This will be last ever EC, a club night that has been bringing the highest quality techno and electronic music to Dublin since it opened in the Metropolitan in 2003. Since then it has changed homes to Traffic on Abbey Street and lately to Wax on South William St. Across these three venues they have treated us to some of the best gigs Dublin has had to offer, including a memorable night in Traffic where Richie Hawtin rammed the main room while Andy Weatherall played upstairs, several intense performances by Dutch wizard Speedy J, Italian Terence Fixmer, Marc Houle, Troy Pierce and of course local hero Donncha Costelloe . They have also held some quality "Electric Shock" nights in the old Temple Bar Music Centre over the years, nights that were never for the faint-hearted which have hosted the likes of DJ Rush, Technasia, Adam Beyer, Chris Liebing and many many more.

The night will leave a gaping hole in the Dublin electronic music scene, and will be sadly missed by all around here. It's been good.

The line up for the last ever EC is as follows
Wax:

Onur Ozer [Vakant - Istanbul]
Giles Armstrong [electricity]

Spy:

Alexander Robotnick [Fuzz Dance - Florence]
Simon Conway [electricity]

Access all areas : Tickets 12 euro + b/fee from Beat Finder and Spindizzy Records. Admission on night e15
